Official North Pole Seal. Frosty's winter wonderland.
Official North Pole Seal.
Frosty's winter wonderland.
This Frosty movie was made back in 1976. Another movie done
by the legendary team of Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass. In this
Rankin/Bass classic we have Frosty returning to town cause he made a
promise to them that he would return one day and after he hears about
the first snowfall he heads back to them but he gets to feeling lonely so
the kids from town decide to made him a snow wife, named Crystal.
Jack Frost sees the children having fun with Frosty and get jealous, he
steals Frosty's magic hat but finds out later after he is far from town that
he stole the hat from one of the horses. Crystal comes to life after Frosty
presents her with a bouquet of frost flowers, they all celebrate but Jack
Frost returns and sees this and with a gust of wind he blows Frosty's hat
from his head and taunts that Frosty is gone and gone for good but
Crystal proves him wrong, she sculps a corsage out of snow, places it on
Frosty's chest and gives him a kiss and brings him back to life. Jack can't
believe what is happening and gets angry and vows to not let there
wedding happen. He whips up a massive blizzard, Frosty and Crystal ask
him to be the best man cause he is winter and without him there would
be no winter, finally being appreciated he agrees, they celebrate but the
weather starts to warm up and Jack decides to make it winter forever
Parson Brown, the one that married Frosty and Crystal, He tells them
that winter will never last forever, if winter lasts forever the trees will
never sprout leaves and flowers will never grow. Once again Frosty,
Crystal and Jack Frost head for the north pole after saying goodbye to
the children. The movie ends with Jack Frost sitting up in a tree and a
few moments later the town is covered in snow. This is one of my
favorite Frosty movies it has a great plot and amazing animation, cause
if you know me you know I am a huge animation freak and this movie
has amazing animation and for it's time it fit perfectly with all the other
Frosty The Snowman movies. Check it out as soon as you can, I promise
you wont be disappointed. Thank you for reading, I really hope you
enjoyed it.
The rights to this special are held by Warner Bros. Television
Distribution, which used to license the show to Freeform. The
latter aired the special annually on its "25 Days of Christmas"
marathon. In 2018, AMC took over the license for the special.
Because the ownership of the television rights to the
Rankin/Bass library was split into two parts (one including all
productions prior to 1974 and one including all productions from
that point onward) after the company's dissolution in
1987, Frosty's Winter Wonderland was separated from the
original Frosty the Snowman special. The telecast rights to the
original are now held by CBS, who produced a companion sequel
of its own, Frosty Returns, with a totally different cast, style and
production staff.
